Description:
This sarcophagus from the Kerch peninsula in Crimea was plastered and painted on the inside with images of an artist heating an encaustic tool in his workshop (probably the occupant of the sarcophagus who painted it before his death) as well as representations of a woman with her child and servants, horsemen, and musicians.
