Kathisma Church

Description: The octagonal Kathisma Church, also known as the Church of the Seat of Mary, was erected outside Jerusalem at the spot where the Virgin was said to have rested on the way to Bethlehem. The remains of the church, including colorful pavement mosaics, were discovered in 1992 during roadworks.
